An increasing number of designers-businesses manage the production supply chain from concept through to distribution. A case in point is Something Good, a design conceived and promoted by Giorgio Biscaro, Zaven (Enrica Cavarzan and Marco Zavagno) and Matteo Zorzenoni. The brand has brought out a collection of furnishing accessories in a small-medium production run which can be extended on demand, produced by workers in Veneto, combining contemporary taste with the consolidated excellence of Italian manufacturing. The collection, mostly made up of single-material pieces, brings together craftsmen working in wood, glass and metal, highlighting their artisanal skills and the materials used. These are simple, moderately-sized objects displaying a clear style and function. The design also reflects a production model tailored in function of the time required for craftsmanship and balanced production figures. The products can be bought in the online shop, taking advantage of a “designer-to-consumer” formula. At the next Fuori Salone in Milan, Something Good will present a collection of products in glass and ceramics that will also involve the contribution of two international designers.
