PREVIOUS EDITIONS

Since 2010 Open Design Italia has been scouting self-produced design  and networking with category associations and private and public institutions. This is why the event has no fixed location and instead has taken place at different venues: Foro Boario in Modena, I Portici Hotel in Bologna, and in Venice, at Magazzini Ligabue and then at the Terminal San Basilio, and at Trento Trade Fair.

Open Design Italia 2015 was held at Trento Fiere. Trentino Alto Adige is a region rich in initiatives that value the creativity of the young as well as the small and medium size enterprises; this strategically enhanced, through networking, the exchange of competencies and visions between young designers, public institutions and small and medium size enterprises operating in the ‘Made in Italy’ sector. The cooperation with regional institutions as Trentino Sviluppo, the Municipality of Trento and MUSE (Science Museum) made it possible to arrange meetings, conferences and over 200 B2B opportunities to value and support creative micro-entrepreneurship. Amongst other prominent figures: Bonotto, Jannelli&Volpi, Lineabeta, Stamilstone, Venini, Buru Buru, Michela e Paolo Baldessari e Matteo Ragni.
