15 talents from six editions exhibit at the Italian Cultural Institute

Opening: 16 October 2017, 7 p.m.

With The exhibition “Design is Nourishing” Open Design Italia intends to continue to promote a highly narrative type of small series design, which values taste, tradition and creativity through new approaches.

The works selected for this exhibition express the best of the Italian Taste for Manufacturing Knowhow and testify how talented creatives are capable of revisiting materials and symbols of the Made in Italy culture with a contemporary view.

The exhibition is curated by Open Design Italia and organised and supported by Regione Emilia Romagna – Culture Department, the Italian Cultural Institute of Vienna, and Confindustria Emilia.

Exhibiting designers:
Amaaro!, Arago design, Atelier di Cucina, Atelier Macramè, Antonietta Casini, CTRLZAK Art&Design Studio, Defacts+Henry&Co, Edizioni Precarie, Elastico Studio, Massimo Marcelli, Meraky, Giuseppe Sardone, Tipo 00 Design, The Good Machinery, Urge.

The exhibition is an important display for young contest-winning creatives from Emilia-Romagna and other regions of Italy and an opportunity to showcase a type of entrepreneurship that develops around the designer, who steers the production chain and searches for the sustainability of the manufacturing cycle and for new ways of cooperation between the world of design and traditional enterprises.

The exhibition ends on 23 November and is therefore part of the program of the Second edition of the Italian Cuisine in the World Week (20-26 November).

The next appointment will be in another important European city during the Italian Design Day 2018.
