A Designer A Day, enjoying its fourth edition, is a competition for young designers and self-producers promoted by la Trentina, a company that produces and commercializes apples, and managed by DesignHUB e POLI.design. Godmother to this year’s edition is Monica Armani, renowned Trentino architect and designer.
This year’s edition envisages 5 special edition projects that were exhibited during Fuorisalone in Milano in Zona Tortona at the God save the Food stand, in addition to 7 selected projects + 1 special mention in the U35’s contest.
ADAD and la Trentina have always been pioneers in the orientation of the choices made for young people and this year’s initiative provides the opportunity for many of the selected products to be placed on the market, thanks to the support of important commercial partners: the on-line buru-buru.com platform and MART, The Modern and Contemporary Art Museum of Trento and Rovereto.
Organised by la Trentina, Buru-bueo.com inaugurates an apposite section- A Designer A Day- where a selection of products from this and past editions can be purchased on line. The Mart, however, with the Civica Project, will promote the work of young designers at the Galleria Civica Bookshop, Trento, giving the possibility of commercializing their products.

Open Design Italia is an ideal showcase for exhibiting the projects of this year’s under 35s contest. “ The conclusion of A Designer A Day at this event”, comments Simone Pilati, General Manager of the Consortium a Trentina, “closes a circle started a four years ago when we expressed our wish to enhance new forms of creativity through the promotion of young talented people who, like our consortium, who have learnt an artisan’s know-how, acquiring their skills and manual dexterity. An initiative born in Trentino that returns to our territory, strengthened by new and significant products, underlining the tight links between our land and the institutions that reside within.”
